According to the Salt Lake Tribune, a 36-year-old man was charged yesterday with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, two counts of sodomy upon a child, two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of rape. All are first-degree felonies.

He allegedly began assaulting the girl in 2001, when she was seven, and continued the abuse daily until last month, when she was 16.

The girl was his stepdaughter.

Michael Abdallah of Buffalo remains behind bars after pleading not guilty to second-degree rape, unlawful imprisonment and custodial interference.

Abdallah, 26, allegedly imprisoned a 13-year-old runaway in his home for six months to a year, had sex with her a few times a week AND made her baby-sit his 1-year-old son.

With creepy similarities to the Josef Fritzl case in Austria, Krzysztof Bartoszuk of Poland was convicted yesterday for holding his daughter captive for six years. During that time he raped her repeatedly and fathered two sons with her. He forced her to put the two sons up for adoption.

Bartoszuk received only 10 years in prison because the court decided that he wasn’t extremely cruel or violent toward his daughter. Uh, he locked her up in a room with no door handles and repeatedly raped her. That’s not considered extremely cruel and violent in Poland?

The trial took occurred behind closed doors to portect the identity of the daughter, now 23.

Court spokesman Janusz Sulima told the Associated Press that Bartoszuk had been guilty of multiple counts of rape, sex with a minor and physical and psychological abuse against the daughter and other family members.

“In this case, the defendant’s offenses were limited to threats. He would threaten to kill his daughter, or to tell people she was the one forcing him or provoking him to have sex. But he didn’t use violence as such,” Sulima said. “She was intimidated by his threats and in the end did not protest, though she never gave her consent.”

Bartoszuk said sex with his daughter was consensual.

A would-be rapist in East Athens, Ga., stalked a teenager and ripped off his victim’s clothes only to discover the “girl” was a boy.

“It doesn’t matter that (the victim) wasn’t a female,” Athens-Clarke Capt. Clarence Holeman said. “The suspect’s intent was to commit rape.”

Lacey L. Carroll, the 23-year-old “model” who accused magician David Copperfield of raping her in the Bahamas back in 2007 (the charges were recently dropped) is now facing misdemeanor charges of prostitution and filing a false report after she allegedly tried to solicit $2,000 for sex from a man in Bellevue, Wash.

Carroll of Kirkland, Wash., was first runner-up in the 2010 Miss Washington USA pageant.

Gosh, those Miss USA girls seem like a fun bunch.

Carroll’s M.O. this time: She allegedly went to a hotel room with a 31-year-old single man, who knew her from her cocktail waitressing job at a night club. After they did the deed, or at least a strong lead-up to the deed, Carroll allegedly told the man (per his police statement), “put $2,000 in my purse and you can have it all.”

When he refused, he said, she left the room and told hotel staff that she had been “taken advantage of.”

The man said he called Bellevue police to report that he believed he was about to be extorted, according to his statement.

Therapist puts boy on the couch, joins him

Jessica L. Wright, 28, who worked as a youth therapist at a residential treatment center for adolescent boys in upstate New York was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree rape, third-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child for a having sexual contact with one of the 15-year-old boys at the center.

You know how “Law & Order” is always “ripped from the headlines.”

This twisted case from Wyoming was “ripped from ‘Law & Order: SVU,” which aired a very similar episode.

On Dec. 5, Jebidiah James Stipe, a Wyoming native who was stationed in California with the Marines, posed on Craisglist as his ex-girlfriend.

He, as she, said she was looking for a certain type of man to fulfill her rape fantasy.

The real woman saw the ad and got Craislist to remove it.

But Ty McDowell had already seen it, had e-mailed her (really Stipe) and Stipe told McDowell, “she” was into humiliation, physical abuse, sexual abuse.”

Six days later, McDowell allegedly broke into Stipe’s ex’s home, tied her up, blindfolded her, gagged her and raped her at knifepoint.

He told police he thought he was just doing what she wanted.

Now both Stipe and McDowell face trial.

A 23-year-old British woman was celebrating her New Year’s Eve engagement in a posh Dubai hotel when she passed out in the ladies room and was raped by a hotel employee. Upon reporting the rape to Dubai police, the woman and her fiance were arrested for having sex outside of marriage. They were forced to spend the night in jail, had their passports revoked and are awaiting trial. They could face years in jail if convicted. The alleged rapist, a Syrian waiter, claims the sex was consensual, so he has also been charged with illegal sex outside of marriage.
